Modern advances in dental science now allow us to offer patients tooth replacements which look, feel and function as natural teeth.

Dental implants have solved many problems associated with tooth loss which previously required replacement by removable full or partial dentures.

Step one. An incision is made by the periodontist to expose the bone over he implant sites. Special instruments are used to prepare the implant sites in the bone.

Step two. The implants are inserted into the bone and the gum tissue is replaced and sutured.

Step three. After the healing period (6 months), the top of each implant is exposed and successful integration is confirmed. Connectors, called abutments, are placed which will secure the replacement teeth to implants.

Step four. The replacement teeth (crowns) are attached to the abutments by your restoring dentist.

Integration is the fusion of living bone to an implant surface on a microscopic level. This bonding provides for a secure and rigid foundation for tooth replacement.
